Arjo General Purpose Low Loop Sling without Head Support
Selecting the most appropriate sling is important to ensure that it is suitable for the patient/resident, for the type of transfer required and compatible with the lift being used. The use of patient handling equipment such as mechanical lifts with the appropriate sling is a core component of a safe patient handling program.
This sling is intended for assisted transfer of passive patients/residents with limited ability to move and require full support during transfer, except for the head as this sling has a low-back design.
The sling is to be used with passive lifting devices to transfer patients in a seated/semi-reclined position to and from bed, chair, wheelchair or hygiene device during care activities. The low-back design makes the sling easy to apply and remove and allows the arms of the patient to remain outside of the sling. It can be used to stimulate the mobility of patients that can support the head themselves during transfer.
This sling should only be used together with Arjo passive lift systems (loop attachment) in accordance with the allowed combinations page on the specified section of the Instructions for Use.

Suitable for residents/patients who have trunk and head stability and in cases where the resident’s/patient’s arms, due to a medical condition or personal preference, need to be positioned outside the sling.
In order to promote mobility of residents/patients who have trunk and head stability it’s recommended to use a sling without head support.
General purpose loop slings provide good comfort and support for everyday resident/patient handling routines, such as bed and chair related transfers.
